James Taylor is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound JUJU had last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Taylor explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur was clearly injured and his paws were red. His toenails, cut too closely to the paws likely caused him to bite.
The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. Having joined numerous other accusers of animal abuse, James accused Puppy-Lux. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.
James explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.
Puppy Lux, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this animal abuse penal code method on his own dogs."
Fox called Puppylux, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
